This is one of the most dangerous forests outside the city of Los Angeles ... Creepy as hell rural mountains of medium height (up to 2800-3300m), I went in the middle of the night. Los Angeles, killed only because of its size, produces many. I've always wanted to hike these mountains.

Unfortunately, sometimes in life you do not find unpleasant things, like dead bodies, must, or try to someone's life after a car accident, or look into to save his friend killed in front of you and the other things.
I would say go ahead and go into the mountains. Most likely, you will have no problem. However, if you find someone dead or wounded, is prepared with a cell phone or a communication method, and try to help as possible to the wounded and do not touch them and unnecessarily on a carcass.
I suggest that we should continue with a friend, if you are not in themselves if they are not ready to see or hear these things.
